Fire retardant varnishes/primer • Intumescent paints • Coatings for asbestos reclamation

Painting of (1) _____________________________________________________ in order to upgrade the treated material to fire reaction Class 1 (CNVVF/UNI 9796).
The treatment will be made by (2) _______________________________________ application of FIREBLOCK® 1001 paint.

The cycle of application includes the following recommendations:

1) Preparation of surfaces
Verify that the materials to protect are free of grease, fats, oil, waxy impregnating and preesisting varnishes. Existing paint coats must be removed by sandblasting or by sandpapering with coarse grain and then fine abrasive paper at naked wood. After this operation, in order to ensure maximum adherence of fire-retardant paint on the support, carry out further cleaning using a dampened cloth with nitro thinner to remove completely from wood traces of wax. It should be checked carefully that the humidity of the wooden materials to coated is less than the value of 12% in weight. If the conditions of preparation above indicated are not respected, we don’t give any guarantee of durability of treatment.

2) Treatment of substrate
Application of our product STARWOOD/W, water based primer , in amout of 80-100 g/m2 in order to confer resistance to mold and pests of wood (this treatment should be done on naked wood).

3) FIREBLOCK ® 1001
Application of two coats of our FIREBLOCK® 1001 with a consumption of 250 g/m2 each if the product is applied using a roller or brush; apply one coat of paint FIREBLOCK® 1001 with a consumption of 500 g/m2, if the product is applied by airless (dispositive airless without filter with nozzle from 31).
Drying time between the 2 coats: 12 hours at +20 °C. The total quantity of paint applied, therefore, amounts to 500 g/m2.

Application of the FIREBLOCK® 1001 costs €_______________ per m2 including materials.
Labour and the preparation of the support are not included.

Wooden materials treated with paint FIREBLOCK® 1001 are carried in fire reaction class 1 as by Ministerial Approval issued by the Central Technical Service of the Home Office in Rome. The applicator must issue a declaration that the above protective materials have been correctly applied.

For all information that aren’t present in this specification for the application, look at data sheet.

1) Indicate the type of wood support to treat (wall, matchboard, false ceiling) and the quality of the wood used (fir, beech, oak, etc.)
2) Indicate the application system used (spray, brush, roller, etc.)
